Qeej Classes

The Qeej instrument is very important in Hmong culture. The qeej plays a major role in traditional Hmong funerals and also is played for entertainment purposes. The Qeej is considered a cultural identifier for Hmong people around the world.

The Qeej program at HCC teaches children from ages 8 to 18, how to play the qeej musical instrument, traditional qeej songs, and how to perform qeej dances. Classes are offered on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
